Innovative Health And Longevity – Most people are familiar with life-saving inventions like penicillin and seat belts, but it’s hard to place these things in the long history of human innovation and age. The 20th century saw small but important steps in many directions, especially in technological devices. In other cases, advances such as genetic and brain mapping, self-driving cars, desalination and renewable energy sources are still too new to tell, but the benefits to human life behind these ideas are promising. For example, “lives saved” is described as the speculative annual rate we might enjoy if a particular technology is fully realized, in the near or distant future. It’s just too early to tell.
It may be true that innovations from the past can affect us today, just as synthetic fertilizers help reduce current levels of environmental stress. However, we know that humans will never stop trying to improve the human experience. As long as there are barriers to the best, healthiest, longest natural life, scientists, inventors, thinkers and dreamers will continue to work to remove those barriers so that we humans can live our best lives.

The emergence of new technologies will benefit healthy aging and longevity by enabling people to live healthier and more fulfilling lives at all ages. For example, technological innovations have been applied to make people physically active, enabling independent living, such as fall detection, smart home technology, early disease detection and disease management, maintaining social connections that reduce social isolation and continued inclusion in the workforce, to let’s mention only a few.
To ensure we take advantage of technology for aging and longevity, we need to design technology that is inclusive and benefits everyone.
