MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio – Chicago-based CA Ventures has begun construction of the region’s first facility combining independent and assisted living and memory care.
This 192-unit senior living community is located at 6200 Landerhaven Drive, across the street from the Landerhaven Executive Restaurants.

In addition to the two interconnected two-story brick main buildings, the east end of the community will include five single-story single-family homes, each with two 1,680-square-foot apartments.
Ideal for those looking for more independent living, these apartments are all two bedrooms and two bathrooms and feature gourmet kitchens with islands, great rooms with dining areas and wet bars, walk-in closets, in-home washer and dryers machine and detached garage.

The main building, which is rectangular with a courtyard in the middle, will house 100 self-contained apartments, 60 assisted living facilities and 32 nursing homes. The Memorial will be located in a secure area on the ground floor.

Self-contained condos and condominiums range in size from 403sqm studios to 836sqm two-bedroom apartments and feature high-end finishes including modern kitchens with quartz benchtops, tiled backsplashes and stainless steel appliances. “We are proud to bring this first-of-its-kind development to Mayfield Heights, offering comprehensive care under one roof,” CA Senior Living president Ben Burke said in a news release. Mayfield Heights City Council first discussed the new facility at a meeting in January 2018, when it backed the Planning Commission’s approval of a preliminary zoning plan. At that meeting, Mayor Anthony DiCicco said he liked the development and the fact that it combines independent living, assisted living and a nursing home.
“We don’t have the facilities right now to provide all three methods,” DiCicco said. The mayor also said he hopes the new facility will keep older residents in the city.
