Center For Innovative Public Health Research – Public Health Services 10 (EPHS) describes public health activities that all communities must undertake. For the past 25 years, EPHS has served as a cornerstone of the public health mission. The EPHS framework was originally released in 1994 and was last updated in 2020. The updated version aims to adapt the framework to current and future public health practice.

The revised EPHS Framework was released on September 9, 2020 as a joint effort by the National Center for Healthcare Innovation (PHNCI) and the Beaumont Foundation, which brought together a working group of healthcare professionals, leaders and practitioners. the public health community is recruited to inform the changes. The task force also included experts from federal agencies who were instrumental in developing and maintaining the original EPHS framework.
